About

It’s About Travelling is about, well… travelling. We’re not Rolf Potts or Chris Guillebeau, but we do get out of the house on a fairly regular basis.

Although many articles on this website are ‘Ontario-centric’, we do make it outside of the Great Lakes area every once in awhile.

About Affiliate Links

There are advertisements found throughout the website. Hopefully, they are not too numerous to slow load time to an annoying level! These are affiliate links. This means that if you click through these links and make a purchase, we stand to make a commission.

We only participate in quality affiliate programs like Google AdSense, Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network and CJ. CJ (formerly Commission Junction) would be the ads you see for Hotels dot Com, CityPASS, Ripley’s, Best of Vegas, Best of Orlando, London Eye, along with Beaches and Sandals resorts.

We appreciate and are grateful for every penny that comes to us through these programs. Be assured that every penny goes toward the costs of keeping the site alive and towards getting out the door to provide more and more travel info, images and video.

“We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”

  1. Hi Tom,

First of all your website is amazing, and now that I’ve come across it I’ll be using it as a bit of guide as I plan my road trips each summer. Great job and thanks for sharing the details!

I was hoping you could help me with some details about getting to the base of Eugenia falls.

We were recently there and walked west from the parking lot on the south side of the river, and eventually got to a point were we could scale down the side of the escarpment. Then we started to work our way back upstream. It started raining pretty hard and we turned around to be safe.

After reading one of your articles I got the impression there is another way down, if we cross the falls at the top and are on the north side of the river – do you have an details or advice you can share with regards to getting to the bottom?

    Thanks,
    Derrick

  2. Hello,

I was wondering if we could use your image of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba seen on:
    http://www.itsabouttravelling.com/havana-cuba-images

I found your website while doing an image search for the company I work for, Thomas P. Gohagan, a travel provider located in Chicago, IL. They do tours focusing on the cultural, historical and educational aspect of places around the world.
We would be using the image in our printed brochures, affiliated websites, and other promotional material we send to our clients about the tour.

It’s really an awesome view of the hotel and the harbor and we would be appreciative if we could be granted permission to use it.

    Thanks!

    Angela

  3. Hi Tom. You mentioned to email you to find a way to get to Cannings Falls. My husband and I are avid hikers and waterfallers. Your picture of Cannings Falls is beautiful. We would love to hike to Cannings Falls. Can you help us. You should check out our neck of the woods in Hamilton. You would be pleasently surprised. Our hidden gem is Washboard Falls.

  4. Hello, Tom!

I work with the Department of Culture at the City of Barrie, and was wondering if, provided it gets approved, I would be able to use one of your downtown Barrie waterfront photos please? Appropriate credit would obviously be given.

    Thank you,

    Carter

  6. Hi
Having been to North Bay this year, I love some of the photos you have. I am really keen to get a copy of the one of Chief Commanda in the snow. Is there a way to do this please.

  7. Hello Mr. Tom. Carlos Rivero, Social Media of the Cuban Agency Havanatur, writes to you. I hereby inform you of the need to use your sunrise and sunset video of Cayo Coco, a destination that we are promoting on our social networks. The quality of their work, although years have passed, is very appreciable and would help us promote the Cuba destination after going through these difficult years of the pandemic. The video would appear on Facebook in our first publication tomorrow and we mentioned his profile in the publication as an international practice in these cases giving credit to his work.
    Thank you so much
