At the time, YouTube was giving the shaft to ‘Creators’ with less than 1,000 subscribers. This meant that anyone below that threshold could not longer participate in their revenue program. Simply, you could not make money from advertisements on your videos.
A year before, I wouldn’t have giving a flying crap. However, over much of 2017 and the start of 2018, revenue from our YouTube Channel was steadily growing with traffic climbing at a great rate. So, in the beginning of @photosontario, the goal was to rapidly build a quality Instagram site that would showcase the province we live in and direct even more traffic to the YouTube Channel.
Over the first three months, it’s become more of a photographic passion and less of a gateway to our videos. We continue to put up a different image each day and, as of this morning (May 9, 2018) we’re just shy of the 2,000 follower count. All photos are our own. Some are taken with a DSLR with proper post processing. Some are off the cell phone camera, most often edited using Snapseed.
What follows are the five most popular posts, so far, measured by the number of ‘likes’. Take a look and if you like what you see, why not join us on Instagram? We’re at 114 posts at the moment with new content each and every day so there’s always something new. And, we’re not Instagram Douchebags – we ALWAYS follow back!
